We are pleased to announce our own Kayleigh Hammond was recently appointed President of the ASCE Cincinnati section. Kayleigh had formerly served as President of the ASCE University of Cincinnati Student chapter while in school at UC.

Before her appointment began, we caught up with Kayleigh to ask her a few questions:

How has your career at Kleingers prepared you for this role?

I have been involved in ASCE since attending college at UC. I was the ASCE UC Student Section, President my senior year of college. I have been involved with the professional Cincinnati section since before I worked at Kleingers. I appreciate the support Kleingers has given me and the ASCE Cincinnati Section over the past couple years. I would not have been able to take on this role without the support of my amazing company.

What do you think the biggest challenge will be and how do you plan to overcome it?

The biggest challenge as President this year will providing our members will a full and valuable program year while making sure that our members are safe and healthy. 2020 is the ASCE Cincinnati Section’s 100^th year of existence. We are planning to make this year full of celebrations even if they have to be virtual.

What are you most exited for, as the new president?

I am excited to see the growth of the section over the next year. I would like to get more younger members involved in the organization as it is a great way to network and learn more about the industry that we are starting our careers in.
