Jacot Park

Middletown, Ohio

In 2001, City Commissioners approved the $250,000 redevelopment of a section of Jacot Park in Middletown, Ohio for use by the over 1,000 children who play soccer in youth programs throughout the city. The plan featured six unlighted practice fields and one lighted practice field. Other amenities include a one-mile walking trail, picnic shelters, restrooms, storage, off-street parking for 120 cars, a fenced playground, and a new basketball court.

Jim Kleingers, president of The Kleingers Group and Sportworks Design, grew up in Middletown and remembers playing in this park as a child. “We are excited about the opportunity to work with the City of Middletown and take great pride in being a part of this project. Jacot Park is truly an asset to the community.”

The new natural turf fields were opened to the public in the fall of 2002.
