Warren County, Ohio
The Warren County Sports Park needed additional synthetic turf fields to supplement the 130-acre park which consisted of 14 soccer fields, only two of which were synthetic turf surfaces. The original sports park layout was bifurcated with an open leisure park in between. Warren County was hoping to be able to use this land and transform it into four full-size soccer pitches, two of which would be synthetic turf. Sportworks Design, part of the original sports park design, was able to design the new fields to fit in seamlessly with the overall park layout. Parking lots were designed to accommodate the influx of visitors to the new fields. Additionally, a 40’ wide concrete promenade was added for vendors and food trucks to set up on during tournament weekends.
